This was a fun band to play in.  We didn’t do too many shows, but had a great time playing.  We recorded these songs overnight at Ursinus University.  This was probably late 1980s to early 1990s.

Tod Limbert on Drums – Brian Pierce on Guitar, Bass, Vocals – Steve V on Guitar, Bass.

I remember the “LSD” part of moment of love was largely done by moving the dials on an old Boss Analog Delay.  Purple Colored Box.  There were some other good songs but I don’t have them anymore.

This was a band that I loved.  We wrote songs fast and often.  We did play a good amount of shows in the area.  We even won a battle of the bands contest in Allentown.  I also met the love of my life in this band.  Don’t have the band anymore, but I held on to the true value.

We had a great singer, great drummer, great solid bass player, and I made a lot of noise with multiple delays.  A child of the 80s playing in the 90s.  This band went from the early 90s to about 1996 or 7.

Brian Pierce again on Bass, Kevin on Drums, Steve V on Guitar, and Rebecca Vlam on Vocals.  I remember having band practice in a church in NE Phila. and then going home to watch The Simpsons on my VHS player.

These recordings were done over two studio sessions at two different times.

When She Returns is about Rebecca’s sister Jenny, Scar was a chord progression I had hanging around ten years prior to the song, Bic got its name because we thought people would light their lighters during it (before Iphone flashlights), and 12 Hour Dream was about Rebecca’s college days.

As in Rough is Red, not all of the songs we wrote saw a studio. But I have a few recordings from practices and so here are some of the other songs by 12 Hour Dream.  Not as nicely recorded as I would like.  But more relaxed since we weren’t on the clock in someone’s studio.

Kevin felt the drums should always be melodic.  He was the best drummer I ever worked with but the ending of Hero Help the Shelter was his doing and I still can’t find the melody.

Call it Peace I loved because the lead up to the guitar solo was the MTV theme chords.  I then tanked the solo but got some nice distortion at the end.

These are two that weren’t part of ay band.   Prosper was a song just after 12 Hour Dream and Killer XMen was actually a Rough is Red Song never recorded.

I recorded these in the basement of our Green Valley Drive House. So Between 1998 and 2000.  I used an older DAW (Tracktion) and had a Boss drum machine.  Both have multiple overdubs.
